The Mud Pony
The Mud Pony Art Studio program offers private art studio classes for stay-at-home parents who want something artistic to do and make fun art projects. Here at the Mud Pony Art Studio you are also more than welcome to bring your kids along to make fun art projects together! You can also drop your kids off and have them learn new art skills while you go out and run errands or take relaxation time for yourself.
. Specific areas that we focus on in studio include ceramics, painting, jewelry making, mosaics, and gardening enrichment sessions, but there is always room for individual creativity! Everyone is allowed and encouraged to pursue complete artistic freedom at their own pace and within their own abilities. The Mud Pony’s goal is to provide students with an environment that encourages creativity. Our classes are small, ensuring participants receive one-on-one training. Here we provide our students with all the supplies they would need for their projects, but we encourage students to bring whatever crafting materials they may want to use in their work. Through the week we try to organize at least one project per student, but completion dates are never set as we want everyone to work at their own pace. Project restriction is never enforced as we want our members to have whole artistic freedom. Nobody ever said having more than one project at a time is a bad thing.
We also offer painting classes every other weekend where the parent can bring their own wine and snacks and enjoy meeting and working with other people while using their art skills. You will learn from each other and exchange ideas in a fun welcoming environment.
“Multiple projects lead to multiple successes.”
I was born in Mexico and moved to Texas at a young age. I have three beautiful children. My oldest being diagnosed with Down Syndrome. I’ve been living in the Austin neighborhood for 25 years where I have explored my art skills and flourished as an artist. I currently am a stay-at-home mom and want to help other mothers explore their artistic talents which is why I created The Mud Pony Art Studio.
